Dos and Donts
Page history last edited by sophie-phee 1 yr ago
Do's
- Make sure you have a lot of time to complete your project. Haste makes waste.
- Pick a project idea that can be answered. Make sure you aren’t just making an observation. Make sure you perform an experiment.
- Make sure to check your grammar, especially spelling. Commonly, the worlds "effect" and "affect" are used incorrectly.
- Take photographs of your experiment procedure. Photographs can be used as artifacts. Also remember to save any other objects you would like to use as artifacts.
- Give your project a creative title. The title is the first thing people see when they look at your project. If it's a boring title, people may not want to read it, but if your project has a creative title, people will want to know more.
Dont's
- Some science projects might be to hard or complex for your current understanding. Make sure you understand what you are doing during your experiment, and what the purpose is.
- Making your project look nice is very important but, your actual experiment is more important. Don’t spend too much time on making your board look nice.
- Don't have more than one variable! You should only focus on answering one question, with one variable.
- Make sure your project is well thought out before starting it.
